I had a lovely stressful morning dealing with registering my motorcycle at the CT dmv.  It's one of those things where if the first person you talked to would just tell you every piece of paper you are going to need, then you could be in and out in 20 minutes.  But, no, of course not.  :P  Anyways, I decided I needed some paint therapy, so I took an original sketch from a couple weeks ago and did a mixed media watercolor piece.  The original will be going to the lovely family across the street from us that are expecting their first baby any day now!  Prints can be found here.

How to Fly

So I've taken one of those fun leaps and joined an international art contest of sorts.  It's actually Lilla Rogers' Global Talent Search.  Lilla is a huge (read MASSIVE) artist's agent and she is having a talent search/contest to find the next person she will represent.  This would be an amazing opportunity to work with someone in the industry who knows everybody and can get your work in front of unbelievable companies (can you say Anthropologie?).  I figured I'd throw my hat in the ring and see where it leads me.  Heck, it's time I taught myself how to fly.
